Looking at Move D's prestigious discography, it is pretty easy to understand why the year 2008 has been a kind of divide for the producer. Since the world of electronic music continues to distance itself from dry and minimal sounds, Move D's past work makes him now seem like a sort of forerunner. But while deep house and ambient music seem to be out of style again, David Moufang, the man behind the name Move D, is probably continuing to work hard until things change once again.
He who created hits with a incredible series of productions for labels such as Smallville, the legendary Warp, Source Records, Bine, Plug Research, Workshop and Modern Love, is certainly not one to relax. His live performances are at the same level, if not even better than his studio recordings, fishing from every corner of his varied repertoire to create an experience which equally involves mind and body. His productions hint at conventional house, but are developed with his incomparable sound, leaving everyone, from long time fans to newbies, simply amazed!
