Concert
A guitarist, a bassist and a drummer on stage. No electronic instruments. What can you expect from such a line-up? No rock, indie or metal: Bernhard Hammer, Jakob Schneidewind and Bernhard Breuer, also known as Elektro Guzzi, play live Minimal Techno. Challenging any preconceived concept of how techno should be played live, they decide to “transform” themselves into machines able to filter sound. They have no secret weapons, no computer with prepared materials, no loops or overdubs. In little time the Viennese trio captured everyone's attention: their performance at the 2010 Sonar was praised by the audience, and their début album produced with Patrick Pulsinger for the Berlin label Macro Recordings received the critics' approval. Sharp, captivating, hypnotic minimal techno, with a killer groove to say the least, and a rare ability for mental introspection. The interaction between the three musicians and their audience is what really counts when Elektro Guzzi performs. Their motto: “You hear it, you witness it, and you dance!”
