Ptwschool.com was born as an idea in 2008, as a blog in 2009, and has been expanding its activities and gaining new views and traffic since late 2010. PTW is an acronym for PLAY TO WIN. It is a call for anyone to do anything they like and to give it your best, because anybody can take part, but only a few can stand out. Ptwschool.com is about music, lifestyle, art, fashion and design, and has an original and entertaining approach.
MEZE
Meze comes from somewhere in-between London and North Africa. His sound has been around for a long time now, always with different pseudo-names. He worked as an active part of the legendary collective based in London named Bradfod Bahamas. Crackling of sounds, distorted beats, foot-working music: this is how he self-defines his sound. Always searching for new possible tools for producing music, Meze is truly a rhythm-attitude experimentalist. Inspired by the ghosts of Africans rhythms, Meze is an obscure identity in constant travel and motion. Crackling, rolling, sounds of breathtaking humidity.
IAMSEIFE
Iamseife is an Italian artist, but with a sound that is rooted overseas. Andrea Barbara started his musical career when he was a kid, playing the guitar in a Ska Core band in his hometown. The love for music allowed him to space out in various genres, from rap and soul to funky, until he discovered breakbeat music. So, along with his friend Seth, he began an electronic duo named Pink a Pad’s. In 2010, the pursuit of his own musical identity lead Andrea to begin his solo project called Iamseife, where he melts mainstream sounds to underground, from electro, to UK bass, to Nu House.
AYARCANA
Anthony Arcana, aka Ayarcana, is a guy from Italy in love with "strong language" in music. No labels or fads, just hard sounds and dark matter are truly important, according to Anthony. In just a few years, Ayarcana has had several collaborations in the European underground scene, and his productions were supported by the most important names of the underground electronic scene. One of his tracks was played for the likes of BBC1, Rinse fm, RBMA Radio, Nasty fm, Sub fm. He is currently preparing the release of two EPs with a strong hint of dark-n-dirty techno, and of course the post-dubstep roots to which he belongs. In April 2013 he released an EP for free download on ptwschool.com, which includes great remixes from Unstable compound, King thing and Cloaka. In the works is a new techno-oriented collaboration/side project, featuring an upcoming release on Concrete Records.
