DJ Set
Agoria's real name is Sebastian Devaud. Born in Lyon from an opera singer and a visionary architect, he soon became entranced by electronic music at the age of 12, so much so his first savings, earned by washing cars, were spent on vinyl records. His DJ career naturally began very early on, so in 1999 he began producing music and releasing tracks, achieving international recognition in 2001 with La Onzième Marche. A great aptitude in production and an extraordinary talent on the turntables brought him to a long series of releases: four albums, remixes for artists such as Kevin Saunderson, Señor Coconut And His Orchestra and Unkle, as well as collaborations with Scalde and Carl Craig and mixes such as Fabric 57 and Balance 016. His work does not go unnoticed, when Luc Besson and Olivier Van Hoofstadt ask him to write the film score for Go Fast: Seb turns the offer into an opportunity to write new tracks filled with ambient, experimental music and organic sounds, such as Dust and Solarized. He contributes greatly to the growth and diffusion of electronica in Europe with the organization of the Les Nuites Sonores festival in Lyon, and the creation of label InFiné, a brand that follows no rules and no trends, and is a springboard for young talents worldwide such as Danton Eeprom, Bachar Mar-Khalife, Francesco Tristano, Clara Moto, Rone, Arandel. A DJ with rare gifts (his three-turntables mixes have become notorious) and vision, capable of mixing Angelo Badalamenti's Mulholland Drive theme with Carl Craig'sExperimento, a Raymond Scott song and an Onur Ozer track, or even Afrodite's Child with samples from Lil' Louis's French Kiss, Ella Fitzgerald with Joe Claussel. Insatiable curiosity and wide open mind make Agoria one of the most appreciated DJs on the planet.
