HOW TO GET TO SPOLETO

Train

Direct connections to Rome via Orte, in 1h20 on 5 Eurostar trains and about 1h45 on 12 Regional trains. From Milan, 6h10 on Intercity direct Tacito train and 5h15 via Firenze on Freccia Rossa trains.
Other travel times (approximate): Bologna 4h, Firenze 3h15, Naples 3h, Turin 8h30, Venice 6h45.

Airplane

The nearest airport is Perugia "San Francesco d’Assisi", with daily flights to Milan Malpensa and variable frequency to London and Tirana. Connections to Spoleto are possible by taxi and car rentals.
The best alternative is Rome Fiumicino, with transfer to Spoleto by train.

Car

Coming from south, Spoleto is 60 km from the Orte exit of motorway A1: continue on the SS3 Flaminia towards Terni and on the SS395 towards Foligno. The distance from Rome is about 150 km.
Coming from north, you can exit motorway A1 at Valdichiana and then continue on E45 towards Foligno, then the SS75 and SS3, for a total of about 115 km. The distance from Milan is approximately 510 km.
Private vehicles are not allowed into the center of Spoleto. Several parking areas are available nearby, with prices ranging from 0.50€ per hour to 40€ per month. Info on Umbriamobilita.it
