Contest:
For Dancity Festival 2013, the Dancity Cultural Association in collaboration with WeTransfer is proud to present a digital photo contest entitled “The Ideal City”.
All photography buffs are invited to participate, any age and nationality. The deadline for submitting the entries is June 15th, 2013.

Goal:
The goal of the contest is to organize a collective exhibition of digital art with photography works during the Dancity Festival days on June 27, 28 and 29.
Requirements to participate:
- The contest is free and all photography buffs are invited to participate, any age and nationality.
- The participants will have to declare their full rights to the images sent, as well as grant free use of the images by the Dancity Cultural Association or third parties identified by the Association for communication or other purposes, through the appropriate form (see “Instructions” below).

Theme: “The Ideal City”
Every artist will have the chance to openly interpret the theme of the contest for the presentation of their subjects and works. The photos may therefore represent a situation, a place or a detail which tell a story, inspired by the Festival concept.
DF13 Concept: A UNITARY URBANISM
“A Unitary Urbanism” is a theme inspired by the Situationist school of thought, a phenomenon which redefines art by placing it in the environment surrounding it, in juxtaposition with its very idea, according to which it should be disconnected from the social contexts in which it lives and grows. Art in all its forms therefore takes hold of the physical spaces and historical mutations which accompany it. The idea is to create an urban utopia, in which the community can live and relate to one another, to listen, observe and experience a new city of art, conceived in all its aspects.

Participation modalities:
- The contest is open to people of all ages and nationalities;
- The photos must be sent via WeTransfer to info@dancity.it no later than June 15th, 2013;
- Each participant can submit a maximum of 3 photos (but only one per participant may be selected);
- The photos can be in color or black and white, made with either digital or analogue camera;
- The images must be compressed in JPEG (.jpg) format, and the maximum size for each photo is 15 MB;
- For each attached photo, the following must be indicated: name of the author, title, a brief and simple description, and the participation form (see “Instructions” below).

Evaluation committee:
- The evaluation committee will be made up of at least 5 communication and visual art experts.
- The committee’s evaluations, expressed based on originality, creativity, photographic quality and coherence with the contest goals and theme, are unappealable.
- Images the content of which may seem offensive, diffamatory, violent or discriminatory, and those that are not pertinent to the requested theme, will be excluded from the selection.

Selection:
- The evaluating committee will select the best photos. The names of the winners will be published on the Dancity Festival website and on the various social networks.
- The winners will be alerted via email.
- The photographs selected by the evaluating committee will be exhibited in a collective show envisioned during the 2013 Dancity Festival on June 27, 28 and 29, 2013 in Foligno (IT).
- The authors of the photos selected for the exhibition will have maximum visibility during the three days of the event.

Prizes:
- 1st prize “Pass Partout” DF13: free entry to all Dancity Festival events, merchandising and gadgets, 3 drink cards, 3 food cards, 1 campsite spot, 1 entry to exclusive after party with special guest DJ.
- 2nd prize “Weekend Pass” DF13: free entry for Friday and Saturday, June 28 and 29.
- 3rd prize “Day Pass” DF13: the winner may choose between free entry on Friday the 28th or Saturday the 29th.
- 4th prize promotional DF13 merchandising: t-shirts, pins, bags, etc.

Declarations and Guarantees:
- By enrolling in the Contest, the participants accept these regulations unconditionally.
- The participating authors declare and guarantee that they are exclusive and legitimate owners of all rights of use and reproduction of the photos submitted, releasing the Dancity Cultural Association of any pretense and/or action by third parties, and will have to reimburse the Dancity Cultural association for any detrimental consequence which it may undergo due to the violation declared above, including eventual legal and extrajudicial expenses.
- The Dancity Cultural Association will therefore not be held responsible for eventual pretenses and/or actions by third parties, among which, as a non exhaustive example, requests for reimbursement or complaints of violations of copyrights and/or image rights for damage relative to the content of the photograph.
- The Dancity Cultural Association is also not responsible for use that others may make of the photos downloaded from the event website or social networks.

Concessions and Agreements:
By participating in the contest, the author of each photograph
- Authorizes the Association and third parties identified by it to use personal data for contest purposes;
- Authorizes the Association and third parties identified by it to publish the material submitted and make it available to the public also after the end of the contest. This is granted freely – to make a non-exhaustive example, for the production of paper or digital materials, videos, exhibitions, etc.
- Has the right to cite own name as author of the image on occasion of all forms of use that are exclusive competence of the Association.
- Agrees that all photographs admitted to participate in the contest may be visible on the Association website and on other eventual web platforms on dates to be determined.
- Agrees that for this contest, the Dancity Cultural Association will be responsible for printing the winning photos and the selected photos for the final collective exhibition.

Privacy:
- Personal data released by the participants will be treated in respect of Legislative Decree no.196 of June 30th, 2003 (Code for personal data protection) and of the current regulations regarding privacy.
- At any time, the participants may exercise their rights according to art.7 of the Privacy Code (access, correction, cancellation, opposition to use) through informal request to the Dancity Cultural Association.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Take your picture (maximum 3 per participant) and send it to info@dancity.it exclusively via WeTransfer no later than June 15th, 2013. (Materials sent by ordinary email will not be accepted and will be deleted).
2. Remember to cite the title of the photograph/s, name and surname, and a brief description in the WeTransfer message box.

- That the works presented for participation are own exclusive property;

The undersigned also authorizes treatment of personal data exclusively for the purposes envisioned by the contest regulations pursuant to art.6 of Legislative Decree no.196/2003 “Protection of personal data code”.
